AMERICAN HORROR STORY
JOINT ANNIVERSARY AND 18TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
THE INITIAL IDEA
After sitting down and having a meal and a glass of wine with our clients we discussed many ideas. One of these ideas was the fact that the client's daughter had loved the TV show "American Horror Stories". This had given us the foundations of creating a Horror Story themed event that mixed abstract props, decor and Halloween theming in one end of the venue to a more elegant luxury feel on the other.
once we had a feel of what the event looked like we were then able, to begin with, the running order along with food options, production and most importantly for this client, Halloween-themed entertainment that would be talked about until the next Horror Story.
HOW WE DID IT
Our team got started on creating some designs with all of the client's expectations in mind with the use of visuals and a specific scope of work. After only a few unique quotes on this event, we were then able to get to work.
We built a completely custom made marquee that was designed to incorporate the bushes, floral arrangements and the shrubbery of the front and back gardens. A bespoke pathway was also created which led from the front garden marquee which was the more luxury side, all the way to the back garden marquee, which was the "Horror"
Guests had to make their way past hanging blood soaked clothing, past headstones and green LED lit bushes and a Ghostly lady who was being electrocuted in our giant electric chair
The results were a night full of Horror themed entertainment such as our Contortionist shows that consisted of a freaky looking lady arising from a tiny box, Harlequin acrobats who moved in an abstract manner whilst guests stared in disbelief. Guests were able to drink from the bar stocked with themed drinks as well as the favourites. The bars were decorated in brain filled jars and blood soaked sheets along with hands and feet of the victims of the fire performers act.
The event was carefully planned with our event managers and party planners taking care of Food, Production, Toilets, Decor, Security and more.
This event was fully designed and managed by Julia Charles
